    To provide our services, the Zipper extension requires access to certain information from your Google account. We are committed to collecting only the data necessary to function and will not use it for any other purpose.

    • Google Account Information

      We access your Google account to enable you to sign in and use the extension. This is necessary to identify you as a user and to link the extension’s functionality to your Gmail account.

    • Email Composition Data

      When you compose an email using the extension, we require access to the email content, attachments, and recipient email addresses to process your request. However, we do not store your email content or attachments on our server. The processing is done locally on your device to create the secure zip file.

    • Contact Information

      We access your Google Contacts to provide an auto-complete feature for recipient email addresses. This is purely for convenience and to improve your user experience. We do not store your contacts on our server.

  • How We Use and Store Your Data

    The primary purpose of collecting your data is to enable the core functionality of the Zipper extension, specifically the secure sending of attachments.

    • Secure Zip Link Passwords

      For the Secure Zip Link mode, the password for the encrypted zip file and the recipient email addresses are transmitted to our secure server. This is the only data stored on our server.

    • Data Retention

      To maintain privacy and security, any secure link data stored on our server will be valid for 30 days after the email is sent, irrespective of whether it is used or not. After this period, the data is automatically and permanently deleted from our server.

    • Data Security

      We use industry-standard encryption and security protocols to protect the data we store. This includes securing the transmission of data to our server and protecting the stored passwords.

  • Data Sharing and Disclosure

    We are dedicated to maintaining the privacy of your data.

    • We never share, sell, or rent your personal information to any third parties.
    • We will only disclose your information if required by law or in good faith to comply with legal processes or protect our rights and property.

  • Your Rights and Choices

    You have control over your data and can take the following actions:

    • Revoke Permissions

      You can revoke the permissions granted to the Zipper extension at any time through your Google account settings. This will disable the extension’s functionality.

    • Uninstall the Extension

      You can uninstall the Zipper extension from your browser at any time. Any data stored will be automatically deleted after expiry (30 days). If you want to delete the data immediately upon uninstallation, please contact us.

  • Changes to This Privacy Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any changes.
